the best of sketches in travel october

The month of change certainly lived up to its name. Rain and shine aplenty. With trips out and conclusions to long running story lines it was a month of contrasts. So blurrr (sticks tongue out) to the cold winter months and the rainy days that October bought us. Here in no particular order is the pick of the best of Sketches this October. Just click on the coloured links to read them.

The Final Reckoning
On The Trail of the Yellow Fingernail has been stuttering along since January! During October we were able to finally complete the adventure. If you would like to read it all you can do so in the creative writing section of this blog. It's a little rough around the edges but I hope everyone enjoyed its bonkers story line? A load of old bulls and the finale Fate of the Fete

Heading to Shanghai
Sometimes we do try to do more standard travel posts and this was one of them. Its part of a series called Old Journeys Through New Windows, looking back on past trips. Shanghai has changed massively since I visited. I'm sure that many of the places I visited remain. And should be on everyone's bucket list as its a treasure trove of a city and a real eye opener. Shanghai

Another occasional series is a look at travel and traditional games. Conkers is great fun and although our horse chestnut trees are being attacked by caterpillars, making our conkers smaller. It's still a great game to play. Conkers

Although its not due to retire for at least the next three to four years. Sketches decided to celebrate this aircraft that changed international travel forever. Many have flown on it and many will have stories to tell. Here we just celebrate it for what it is, the transporter to our dream destinations. Boeing 747

So there we are, another mouth of mixing it up with travel, lifestyle and much much more. Although not featured we also looked at a new coffee shop and reviewed a small business (links to those on the side panel). I wonder what next month has in store for us? Well I can tell you that something rather exciting. Follow on any of the social buttons to find out. It could be a very interesting month.

As always a massive thank you for your support. I couldn't do this without you.
